Anna Koukolová architekti was founded in 2018 by architect Anna Koukolová. The studio's portfolio spans a wide range of scales, from interiors and private houses to public buildings and civic spaces. Every project is grounded in a comprehensive understanding of space, with an emphasis on practicality, the needs of its future users and honest materials. The result is architecture that is restrained, functional and firmly rooted in its context.
The studio's work is based on an open dialogue with clients, including private homeowners, developers and public authorities, establishing shared expectations while defining the project's possibilities and constraints. Continuous involvement throughout the entire process – from the initial concept to the completed building – is a fundamental part of the studio's approach. A compact core team, supported by a wider network of collaborators, enables the practice to respond flexibly to projects of varying scales and complexity. Several completed buildings have originated from architectural competitions, in which Anna Koukolová architekti regularly participates. Among the studio's most notable projects is the conversion of former factory buildings into the offices of Monolot Studio, for which the practice received a nomination for the Czech Architecture Award 2026.
