Article 25 is the UK’s leading humanitarian architecture NGO. We design and deliver award-winning schools, hospitals and homes that transform access to education, healthcare and safe shelter. Our work improves health, learning, livelihoods and resilience in communities facing poverty, disaster and climate challenges.
Our name comes from Article 25 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights: “Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for their health and well-being.” We make this right a reality by delivering buildings that are safe, accessible, resilient and designed to meet the specific needs of the people who use them.
Based in London, we have delivered over 100 projects in 35 countries over the past 20 years. We specialise in architecturally excellent designs that use sustainable materials, minimise embodied carbon, and build local skills. Many of our projects come through repeat clients and referrals, reflecting the trust we’ve earned in delivering impact in even the most challenging environments.
Our More Than a Building network - made up of architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and other built-environment professionals - helps us expand our reach and amplify our impact. Together, we are creating a more equitable future, one building at a time.
