In May 2010, BASE Architecture, Planning and Engineering, Inc., acquired Birge Engineering. With over 30 years experience, President Steven Frieson and his team at Birge Engineering bring a wealth of expertise in civil engineering, project management, highway and roadway engineering, transportation, green building and code compliance to the BASE organization. Birge's clients are as diverse as the Caltrans, Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority ('Metro') and the San Bernardino Council of Governments and Steven's team has been responsible for a total portfolio of civil engineering projects worth over $1B.
