The Caret ^ is a typographic symbol indicating a missing word or element, signaling the need for an insertion or integration. Its etymological origin lies in the Latin carere—"to lack something"—and it represents the Studio's core philosophy: viewing absence as a design opportunity.
The Caret identifies the exact point of intervention. In our practice, this translates into meticulous attention to detail and a design vision curated in every aspect. Absence is not seen as a limitation, but as a possibility: a critical space capable of hosting new narratives, functions, and identities.
Over the years, the Studio has developed projects across various scales and contexts, addressing evolving needs ranging from residential renovations to the redevelopment of industrial areas and urban regeneration. Caret Studio provides architectural and integrated design, construction management, safety coordination, and all necessary services to manage the complexity of contemporary design with solidity and expertise, offering a single, integrated vision.
