Since the inception of the firm in 1996, Christopher Simmonds Architect has provided a broad range of clients with the highest quality of service on residential, institutional, commercial and educational projects. Our goal is to promote individual and community well-being through an integrated design that fully supports all needs of the client, while respecting the overall integrity of the site from the perspective of architecture, environment and community. With a reputation for maintaining an open dialogue with our clients and listening closely to their needs, we are able to delight them by providing solutions that exceed expectations. Achieving outstanding results in quality of design is attested to by an extensive array of design awards won by the firm. Christopher Simmonds Architect also exhibits strong leadership in sustainable approaches to design. We designed the first LEED gold certified building in Ottawa (Rideau Valley Conservation Centre) and in 2008 we were awarded the Canada Green Building Council's Leadership Award for "fostering sustainable design, construction and management in buildings in the national capital regional of Canada."
