She is an artist whose philosophy centers on unlocking the secrets of developing a personal color palette. Using the basic six colors of the rainbow, she enjoys showing people how to choose complementary colors that you are emotionally attuned to while sharing tools and tips on how to approach color with a new confidence. Trend Proof: When artist Gretchen Schauffler left Puerto Rico in the late 1970s, she also left behind an endless resource of lime greens and corals. When she arrived in Oregon, Gretchen was shocked to find only dusty blues, pink mauves, hunter greens and cranberry reds. This influenced her philosophy that great color and great design is trend-proof, just like art and nature.
