English-born, Dwek Olivier was born in Brussels in 1970. An early passion for the visual arts led him to the Academy of Fine Arts, before starting in 1990 training in Victor Horta Architecture Faculty the Free University of Brussels. Continuing his learning in Art & Build, fame and a Brussels agency specializing in large scale projects, this self is given its first major orders in 1997. Three years later, Olivier Dwek founded his own workshop architecture, housed in the heart of the European capital. Since then he has built up a rich array of realizations in the private residential sector upscale than public arrangement in his homeland and abroad. Ignoring all systematism, his talent is expressed with ease in multiple registers: development of such prestigious Louis Vuitton boutiques, art galleries or art centers, old factories renovation and creation of lofts (one of which will serve as setting the launch of a men's fragrance Christian Dior), mansions and manor houses and constructions of new exclusive contemporary style.
An uninhibited creativity and boundless earning it numerous publications in the Belgian and international press. And to be selected in 2006 by the Ministry of the Walloon Region for a project of Pharaonic dimension: the conversion of the industrial site of the Fabrique Nationale (former arms factories of Belgium) in residential space, commercial and cultural. In the tradition of modernist and minimalist movements that have marked the architecture of the twentieth century, the work of Olivier Dwek reflects a rigorous and subtle quest for formal blueprint, without falling into the pitfall of a cold aesthetic and sanitized .
Virtuoso volume, alchemist of light which he orchestrates effects, shapes inhabited caskets of a museum will, while cultivating the desire of conviviality, comfort and ergonomic innovation. Flowing lines and clear prospects, mobile monumental structures or simulating weightlessness, exceptional materials and new textures, challenging contemporary art space.
