As an architecture design studio EDRM works closely with their clients to make thoughtful and beautiful spaces in which to live, work and experience. We are passionate about spatial connections, distinctive design and attention to detail to create buildings and spaces that are contemporary yet responsive to existing contexts.
EDRM engage in a range of project types including extensions and conversions of existing properties, works on listed buildings, new builds, arts and cultural projects, spatial interventions and architectural products. We have a wealth of both design and practical experience working on projects of various scales and complexities and pride ourselves on our ability to deliver them to a very high standard.
We offer a friendly and personal service that can be tailored to our clients' specific aspirations and budget. Our objective is to make engaging and thought-provoking spatial designs that reflect the values of our clients, achieved through a collaborative and hands-on approach.
Ellie DeGory BA (Hons) MSc HMA Dip Arch
Ellie studied architecture at The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, where she achieved a postgraduate Diploma in Architecture and an MSc in the History of Modern Architecture. Her degree was completed at the Oxford School of Architecture. Ellie worked in a design-led architectural practice in London for 8 years prior to setting up EDRM. Alongside architectural practice Ellie is an occasional lecturer at the University of Suffolk.
Richard MacRae BA (Hons) MA (RCA)
Richard studied architecture at the Royal College of Art where he achieved a MA in architecture. His degree was completed at Oxford School of Architecture. He has worked and freelanced for a number of design-led London practices and has extensive experience of design and construction. Prior to studying architecture Richard completed an apprenticeship in bricklaying and worked as a general builder for nine years where he gained a wealth of practical experience. He still enjoys building and model making, and makes all of EDRM's models.
