Based in Brasília, LAMAS is a studio of architecture, design, and engineering that merges constructive tradition with a contemporary vision. Founded in 1987 by civil engineer Ruy Lamas, the company began its trajectory in civil construction and, since 2010, has expanded its work to include architectural projects and original furniture design. Under the creative direction of architect Samuel Lamas, the founder’s son, LAMAS explores geometry as a universal language, creating spaces and pieces that embody simplicity, utility, and structural clarity.
Inspired by Brasília’s modernist aesthetic, the studio seeks a synthesis between form and function, using enduring materials such as carbon steel, solid wood, and natural fabrics. Each project—whether architectural or product-based—emerges from technical precision and poetic sensibility, offering solutions for contemporary living. The result is an ethical, essential, and timeless production, deeply rooted in the spirit of Brazilian modernism and designed with a vision for the future.
