We will contribute a 1-40 year Master Plan for Saanenland. To retain a quiet, recreational, village space yet grow with global acclaim and future appreciation needs some very careful planning. Just adding a new concert hall won’t be enough. One must combine every necessary element of growth into an overall infrastructure plan that pays for itself and sustains everyone in the community. I have designed and built hundreds of plans for the world’s best resource, infrastructure companies and governments.
By including several hidden backbones into the mix of housing, sports and hospitality, one can create the world’s most respected, integrated and sustainable villages centerd from Gstaad/Saanen and extending in every direction. The most critical projects include a concert and conference hall, a small emergency regional hospital, a commuter airport, power, railway and road networks to satisfy future passenger loads.
These will bring more global visitors to keep the hospitality and sporting industries full year round. The permanent concert hall doubles as a conference center hosting a dozen global summits in the off-seasons. These can range from the most advanced entrepreneurs, investors, medical science, education, sports facilities and the hospitality industry. This will fill the concert hall more than for just summer Menuhin Classic and Country Music Festivals.
The conferences pay for the entire infrastructural process. These will add significant advantage to the good, existing local schools. Add runway lights and radar to the airport and we can bring commuters in small, silent STOL and HAV aircraft from around the world via Geneva and Zurich. Add permanent market stalls to the railway stations for the local farmers and artisans selling their products to foreign visitors.
I started the 21st Century Saanenland Plan by adding a 20 year cash flow statement to prove it will produce the most sustainable and advanced villages in the world. It lays the groundwork for the rest of the world to visit, holiday and some will copy us for another century. That’s called an export industry.
