isabel hamm designs and produces chandeliers for private residences, public places and offices.
she began her career as a designer doing a three-year apprenticeship as a ceramist in limburg (germany). isabel completed her training 1987 with a craft master diploma in ceramics in marburg and an MA in ceramics and glass at the royal college london in 1998 where she was granted with the rsa student design award in glassware.
throughout her career isabel took part in numerous exhibitions, notably "new work in glass" at vessel gallery in london, "weissraeume" a series of shows in milan and cologne or “glasswork” at gallery franziska keller in zurich.
while establishing herself as a production designer, working with glass took more and more space. it was austrian architect and co-student from london monika gogl who encouraged her to design glass chandeliers for first joint projects.
