Consideration of the environment and understanding how the goals of a project relate to its surroundings; solar orientation, prevailing winds, views and other elements, renders the most successful design for your home
Established 19 years ago, Jeannette Architects is a family owned company. We’re Residential Architects ~ specializing in designing homes. Our goal is to listen carefully and take good care of you, designing a home that maximizes functionality and flow while aesthetically fitting your style and connecting with the neighborhood.
Considering passive and active solar design, cutting edge heating / cooling & electrical technologies, specification of durable recycled, recyclable, healthy materials and designing with the intent to maximize light and ventilation into every possible space are some of the basic design considerations for which we strive.
We enjoy the design challenges of historic Craftsman and Spanish styles; architecture found in the well established southern California beach communities around our studio. As you may have seen in our portfolio section, we’re well versed in many design styles including Mid-Century Modern, Beach Cottage, Spanish, Craftsman, Victorian, Cape Cod, Mediterranean, Tuscan and today’s more Hi-Tech modern style homes of concrete, glass and steel. Our vast experience with design constraints of small lots as well as an understanding of how to delicately place homes on large lots makes us an excellent candidate for your architectural needs.
Jeff Jeannette is the Architect Adviser for The Reuse People; a non-profit organization whose goal is to reduce the solid waste in our landfills by deconstructing homes and donating materials to Habitat for Humanity and other avenues for reuse. You feel good about your contribution to the environment and may receive a tax deduction for the donation. Considering Remodels, there are many pieces of your home you may wish to consider donating while with new homes, we can direct nearly every part of your home to reuse rather than the dumpster.
