Kuth Ranieri Architects

Kuth Ranieri Architects is a research-based design firm co-founded by Byron Kuth, FAIA, and Elizabeth Ranieri, FAIA, with offices in San Francisco and the Boston area. Their team of architects and cross-disciplinary designers has earned a national reputation for innovative works of architecture that integrate environmental awareness with contemporary approaches to design, technology, and craft.

The firm’s portfolio includes a diverse array of projects varying in scale from public park pavilions to the 1.1-million-square-foot new Harvey Milk Terminal 1 at San Francisco International Airport (in joint venture with Gensler). Other projects include the Randall Museum (in joint venture with Pfau Long) and Balboa Pool (in joint venture with ELS), both for San Francisco Recreation and Parks; the lobbies, northwest corner, and Esplanade at the Golden State Warriors Chase Center in San Francisco (in association with Gensler); and the recently awarded new Harbormaster Building for the town of Eastham, Massachusetts.

Their monograph, Kuth Ranieri Architects, was published by Princeton Architectural Press, and the firm’s work has been consistently recognized with awards and publications and displayed throughout the country. Additionally, Kuth and Ranieri cofounded the Deep Green Design Alliance, a cross-disciplinary collaborative focused on elevating design solutions for environmental challenges that shape our global future.
