Farzad Mirshafiei, a prominent figure in architecture and visual arts in Iran’s art community established M&A Architects in 2006 with some of his most creative and talented university’s friends (co-founders: Mohammadamin Aghagholizadeh, Farzin Misami, Peyman Aali). M&A Architects is an international architecture studio, situated in Tehran, with extensive experience in the fields of architectural design particularly in cellular architecture. Also works on other fields like urbanism, public, private and utility buildings on different scale levels. The studio has won several awards in national competitions. They were awarded in Iranian national architecture competition (Housing concept for 2050) in April 2009. This was basically designed on cellular concept (as they are working for new typologies in architecture and urban design).
