Our work is based on a contextual approachwhich is not satisfied in a stereotyped answer. Each place has its history, its geography and its constraints. Our work is based on the concept of "critical reuse", which implies always from the existing state to design a contemporary project in line with the environment. This is to introduce into the project approach as a material part of history, cartography, heritage, economy, human and inserting gained over the years and other intangible concepts such as hand scale, limit mobility and scalability.
While integrating various fluctuating parameters of a project (context, population, climate, culture, environment) we strive to meet so the fairest and most accurate to the different reflections that underpin the work of the workshop.
AXE 01
wide places
The scale is a concept that underlies our work early in the creative process. "Take the measure" is a phase of the work we project freely or with tools belonging to both fields of ideas and fields of the material. This allows us to feel the densities (full and empty) that make up the site on which we operate.
AXE 02
limitations as workspace
The limit is a concept that we always work with a subversive process. The limit is physical and is defi ned by urban rules applied to the project site. Our work always has to redefine the term as a subject in itself for the projected space and the human is always in harmony in their territory. The limits are for us a workspace on which is based the stakes of the project.
AXE 03
mutations as inspiration
We strive to understand and take into account future changes in working together with specialists of construction, urban development and the general economy of the city. Economic, social and cultural issues of the company are for us a source of inspiration that allows us to project areas for now and in the future. As an architect, we have a duty to anticipate societal changes and urban transformations to deliver a more sustainable architectural response.
AXE 04
mobility as philosophy
The workshop promotes mobility in all fields be it physical or intellectual mobility. The agency works"In situ" the project is developed and visiting the places to soak up the soul of the place, the habits of local residents and the general landscape. These exchanges are sources of thought that are not based solely on architecture and urban planning but also on social issues.
The credo of the agency is not only to respond to a command, but is, above all, to re-question the issue for each project through a strategic discussion with local actors.
