MARS architectes is a Paris-based architecture practice founded in 2012 by Julien Broussart, Raphaël Renard, and Sylvain Rety.
The firm works across housing, sports and cultural facilities, education, offices, commercial spaces, public realm projects, and heritage restoration.
Rather than defining itself by a style, the practice is driven by ongoing research and a contextual approach. Attentive to geographical, cultural, and temporal conditions, it seeks not to camouflage architecture but to reveal the poetry of a place—transforming what already exists into meaningful, precise, and relevant forms.
In 2014, the studio was awarded the AJAP (Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes) by the French Ministry of Culture. It gained recognition as a finalist in the Réinventer Paris competition and in Inventer la Métropole du Grand Paris with Sogelym Dixence with a residential housing, an artists’ nursery and a cultural space.
Since 2014, it has collaborated closely with GECINA on several housing and student accommodation projects, including "14 dwellings in the heart of a Parisian block" in Paris, widely awarded in France and internationally, notably the Equerre d’Argent 2021 (Housing) and the Monocle Design Award 2021 for Smartest Residential Building. The studio has also been singled out by the Académie d’Architecture as the winner of the Prix Delarue 2022 “awarded to a young agency that has demonstrated exceptional talent”.
