Matthew Shively's talent for creating visual works of art was not shaped in a classroom but instinctively formed through passion and hard work. A self-taught wood and metal worker, Matthew combines these talents with his eye for design to create original works of art that are only limited by his imagination. His design journey began with the forming of CercaTrova Design in Lexington, Kentucky. Working with private clients on overall interiors, he found his interest shifting to the creation of original, defining pieces of luxury furniture and lighting elements for the home. Shively soon became part of the prestigious design community of New York City, honored by Interior Design Magazine with a best of year nomination and honoree award in 2011. Ready to present his designs on a larger stage, Matthew moved his headquarters from Lexington to Port Chester, New York and renamed the company Matthew Shively, LLC.
