Architect, designer and artist, her work has always focused on searching for the psychological well-being of the users of her projects, acting as a primary target accessibility and safety for all, regardless.
Mitzi Bollani is one of the founders of "Design for all " concept: starting from the needs of people with activity limitation such as physical, sensory and mental or cognitive limitation, spaces and objects are designed to be easily accessible to all, without losing the aesthetic value and above all without incurring in additional costs.
She is Consultant of the European Commission and other organizations in Italy and Europe, in the field of disability and accessibility, she teaches advanced courses for professionals in several Italian Universities and public bodies, institutions and professional organizations related to the world of architecture and construction. In 1998 she participated in the foundation of the EUCAN group in Europe, a network of experts in the field of accessibility and in 1999 she founded the Italian Association for DAIEE (Design for All Europe Information Exchange), of which she is President.
She operates a number of architectural projects in Italy and abroad, developing projects and design objects for community spaces for street furniture and for the private sector.
In 2008 she founded the company Leura Srl, committed to delivering innovative products and environments for the person.
Today, the design work and research of Mitzi Bollani is developed in different fields, offering its expertise to the application, in a complementary manner, the principles of "Design for All" to any architectural project and design.
