Modulor

Modulor has become in December 2013 25 years old. We started as a small specialty shop for architectural model building material that had initially opened only 3 p.m. to 18:30. Today, about a hundred people work at Modulor and we offer much more than just the material for building architectural models. Based on an inspiring range, we have since our founding year record of double-digit growth - almost without expensive marketing. For a long time our only communication medium: The Modulor catalog with valuable information about the offered products (latest edition: 2009/2010 with over 1,000 pages) Earlier than most, we recognize that in the materiality there is a strong differentiating factor in the design of our environment. The designers of this habitat, creative professionals such as designers or architects, we have made available a wide range of common and novel materials in those small quantities they need. In these industries, we are known for today throughout Germany. In parallel, we have continuously all integrated into our program, what our creative audiences else may still need: inspiring small parts for innovative design ideas, simple container to organize creative chaos', all for drawing , painting and processing of materials, flexible furniture for functional jobs and much more which can propose creative hearts beat faster. This special mix of materials and finished products have also discovered more and more end users over the years. This is especially true for retailers in Berlin. On Moritz Platz in Kreuzberg, we now operate on approximately 3,000 sqm of retail space with great success a globally unique concept store of nearly 2,000 daily professional and amateur creatives alike. Here we sit together with about 30 other companies from the retail, manufacturing and service companies that complement our offer useful since 2011. The concept for this network that we "Planet Modulor" call, we have even developed the searched and confident to create with us a very special place in which we offer our customers a full possible range, partner companies, for the most part benefit from the synergies and learn from each other. Together we have learned a lot in the past few years, but successes and failures experienced also had a lot of fun together. In the 25 years of our existence we have evolved naturally to us continuously. Again and again there were times when the change was most needed, and our company has changed dramatically. Such time we experience again now. Since Summer 2013 Modulor is under new management, it has set itself the goal, more than in the recent past, perceive the growth opportunities for the company and drive the associated structural change. Meanwhile, we're sitting on a treasure trove: 40,000 kept in stock this item is in contact with thousands of suppliers, a lot of knowledge and many ideas waiting now to come right to the people. Here, our creativity and our plans are not restricted only to the optimization and expansion of our product range, but mainly include new distribution channels, innovative services and the international spread of our offer.
