Mole Architects is an award winning RIBA Chartered Practice founded by Meredith Bowles in 1996, the practice has won a number of awards, the most significant of which is the RIBA Manser Medal, awarded to Mole in 2004 for the design of a house in Cambridgeshire (the Manser Medal is awarded for the best one-off house by an architect in the UK). Mole Architects are particularly interested in producing designs appropriate for their local context, combining traditional materials and techniques with a more contemporary attitude to design and building. We design low energy buildings amd are certified Passivhaus designers. We design community buildings, housing, education buildings, workspaces and one off homes. We act with fairness and integrity, believe that good design combines innovation and common sense, and think that above all, buildings should be full of joy.
