morePlatz is a collaboration of Caro Baumann and Johannes Schele that exists already for more than fifteen years. As architects and urban planners we work on the spatial quality of the built environment. Our projects improve existing situations, activate undiscovered potentials and enrich the city with new programs. ‘morePlatz’ stands for ‘more – refined – space’.
Our expertise is based by the working experience we gathered at international offices in the Netherlands. The design approach is influenced by team work, flexibility, process and dynamism. Our office in Rotterdam realized four projects in Bavaria and the Netherlands during the last three years . The refurbishment of the visitors center in the National Park Neu-schönau opened in 2010. The design for the art exhibition 'The Future of Tradition' at the Haus der Kunst in Munich was nominated for the `Dutch Design Award 2011
Last year we finalized the interior design for the auction house 'Vendu'. Since two years we also run a practice in Munich, Germany which is specialized in urban planning. In collaboration with the Dutch office MVRDV and German practice Lauber Zottmann we participated at the invited competitions 'Schinkelplatz' in Berlin and 'Baumkirchen' in Munich. Together with landscape architects 'Topothek 1' we worked on the masterplan for 'Martinsried' and with 'Realgrün' landscape design we elaborated the urban concept for the 'Garching communication zone'.
