Architectural historian and design consultant Natascha Drabbe set up Cultural Connections in 1996. Between 2002 and 2006 she was in charge of International Projects at the then newly established Premsela, Dutch Platform for Design and Fashion. Since 2007 Cultural Connections has been based on Ertskade along the waterfront in the Eastern Docklands, Amsterdam's coolest neighbourhood with daring new architecture and renovated old warehouses. Specializing in art and creative/lifestyle industries, NDCC realizes connections on a national and international level between art, creative industry, designers, architects, cultural institutions and the media.
As a PR and press communication consultant, Drabbe is active in the arena of international architecture and design media. Besides press communication in general for her clients, she also focuses on special projects as an intermediary and facilitator. This involves book publishing with NDCC Publishers, curating exhibitions, such as Design Scoops and re-f-use and developing and initiating cultural events in the newly set up Van Schijndel House in Utrecht.
