NOMAD CONCEPT

Architects from Koning Leopoldlaan 9A, BREENDONK, Belgium
Nomad Concept is a group of architects/designers dedicating their work to the art of temporary and ephemeral architecture between building and landscape. Nomad Concept reflects on a nomadic way of life within the contemporary western society, with art being an existential, essential part of life.
Mission: to intensify the relation between architecture and landscape / garden architecture. Nomad Concept creates an architectural transition zone between building and environment, similar to the peristyle – the colonnade around the Greek temple – or a Japanese tea pavillion in the garden.

Nomad Concept is an architectural and engineering office that was founded by Architect Amandus VanQuaille on January 1, 2000. The firm specializes in architectural sails and membrane technology and has meanwhile become the benchmark for tensile structures and architectural sails.

Nomad Concept operates at an international level. Sail sculptures are constructed for private, corporate and public projects and for upscale events, where people gather in inspiring surroundings.
