His professional internship included work with firms in Maine, Boston, and Seattle. He has been involved in all areas of the profession including design, administration, teaching and design critique. He has been a partner in the twelve-person Maine firm Elliott Elliott Norelius Architecture since 2001, and involved in the design and execution of several of the firm’s published and award-winning projects. In 2008, he established his own firm with the intent to focus more intensely on a select, small number of projects.
