For over 70 years the Planet drop-down seals have been eliminating the need for thresholds, so providing a barrier-free seal at the bottom of doors. The birthplace of our seals was in the carpenter’s shop W. Jaggi und Söhne in Zurich. The first Planet drop-down seals for doors were custom built with care and precision and quickly evolved with practical experience. This evolution resulted in the seals rapidly being adopted by ingenious carpen­ters, exploiting an unfulfilled need in the market. The production of Planet drop-down seals has finally been sourced out and sold in 1998. The setting up of Planet GDZ AG in Tagelswangen, Zurich, came from a change in ownership in 1998 and today the innovative owners René Gyger and Andreas Dintheer continue the evolution of this successful business.
