Rhino Wood is a timber modification business based in South Africa. We have developed a unique two-step method of modifying sustainably grown pine into timber with the durability and dimensional stability of hardwoods.
We sell FSC® (C167414) certified timber that is purchased from responsible sources in South Africa. Our manufacturing process uses our waste products as an energy source, thus prioritising the use of clean energy over fossil fuels in the creation of our decking, cladding and pergola products. Our products are non-toxic and fully bio-degradable at the end of life. In recognition of this Rhino Wood Received the World Wildlife Fund Climate Solver Award in 2014.
Customers can choose the low maintenance option and leave the timber to grey naturally as the timber itself is treated to the core and is resistant to fungal decay and rot - or they can wash and oil it to maintain the warm nut-brown color.
