The architectural studio Roland Baldi is active in architecture and urban planning, but also covers the fields of interior and landscape architecture as well as design. The projects - for the most part following successfully entered competitions - span over a large variety of different architecture manifestations including industrial and commercial buildings, residential buildings, urban planning, infrastructure, buildings for educational purposes and a variety of other studies up to furniture design. They have been built for private and business contractors in industrial areas, historical city centres, residential areas or even in the high mountains. Some of the most important projects of the office are the Multifunctional building in Barbiano, the Civil Protection Centre in Renon, the Mobility Hub in Collalbo, the kindergartens in Chienes and Sluderno, the Meran 2000 ropeway and the TechnoAlpin headquarters in Bolzano.. Many of the implemented projects have been awarded with national and international architecture awards, including the Premio Architetto dell’Anno, Wood Architecture Prize, best architects award, Premio Architettura Città di Oderzo, South Tyrolean Architecture Prize and Iconic Awards, and have been presented at the Venice, Pisa and São Paulo Architecture Biennales. The architect’s office is working under the motto „simple but different“ and focuses its attention on sustainability.
