The name reflects what’s important to us: working from the ground up, shaping places with care, and staying connected to the people and environments we design for. Root, alongside Erect, captures both where we begin and what we create.
At Root And Erect, we shape shared space for the common good. Since 2003, our female-founded architecture and landscape practice has worked to engage, connect and empower communities through urban design and strategy. Designing at every scale, from single buildings and playspaces to whole high streets and neighbourhoods, we take a holistic, living-system approach that prioritises sustainability and enriches the fabric of city life.
