The history of the Rivolta company dates back to the early Seventies, when the company was founded by its current president, Mario Rivolta. It’s a story that intertwines with the history of a land of longstanding fame in the field of furnishings – Brianza - where the business was launched in 1973.
Rivolta also represents the story of a family, a family that chose to share in the venture of the founder, who is today supported by his daughters Martina and Elena in running the company.
The key to the company’s success is instantly shown to be care and attention to details, sophisticated finishes and the exclusive use of materials of the finest quality.
Since its debut, the company has stood out for its leather working and the creation of seating made principally from this material. A process that is based on the selection and use of leathers of outstanding quality, as well as 100% Italian production.
Rivolta’s first steps in the world of furnishings and design see the creation of collections marked by elegance and timeless style, catering for a largely classic market. With time, the experience gained and the ongoing efforts towards improvement lead the brand to reach high levels of exclusivity, making it a prestigious name in the international furniture scene.
2001 heralds an important year. In fact, it was during this year that a significant change took place in the company orientation. Keeping leather as the cornerstone of its collections, a wholly innovative catalogue is created, built around a new “minimalist” style.
Later, thanks to a host of new ideas, and in line with the ever improving market needs and trends, the company decides to expand its catalogue with the introduction of new furnishing elements and new materials. The collection is enriched with softer shapes and warmer colours.
There is one thing that actually never changed, and this is the high production quality, a very solid virtue of these products entirely handmade, realized with the best available materials, the utmost care and attention to details.
The year 2010 marks a turning point, a veritable watershed in the company’s history.
Its new partnership with designer Samuele Mazza sees the genesis of a special collection that breaks out of the traditional mould of contemporary furniture.
The new collection, Saint Babila by Rivolta, makes its grand entrance at the Milan Furniture Show in April 2011, and instantly sparks a revolution in the history of the brand.
The universe of fashion is the main source of inspiration and it is delivered every time in a very different way in order to shock and please.
Samuele Mazza captured one by one, all fashion systems’ icons, transforming them into avant-guard solutions designed for the home decor.
Saint Babila keeps up with Made in Italy’s reputation, that made our Country famous all over the world.

The booming talent of a designer meets with the excellence of a company, whose utmost manufacturing expertise, doesn’t allow competition of any kind.
A special place, inspired Samuele Mazza with this innovative-yet shockingly appropriate-concept, produced by Rivolta. The line draws inspiration from the name of a famous piazza in Milan, situated in a district renowned among lovers of fashion and interior design.
And it is none other than the world of fashion and the fashion system that deeply influences Samuele Mazza’s creations, which reveal close references to the urban glamour and allure of a city that never sleeps.

2014 Collection by Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri
Saint Babila enriches its collection thanks to a new sign born from the collaboration with Daniele Lo Scalzo Moscheri.
Saint Babila presents a new entire collection with a desirable and defined character for a clientele which is aiming for luxury without being a victim.
A total look dedicated to the jewel's culture, to the detail of the trunk manufactory, and to the italian culture of great creative talents.
The collection confirms the evolution and the attitude of the company towards a product extremely related to the sector of luxury goods but with characteristics of unique personality.
The new code of the products coordinates clean lines and exclusive materials such as brushed brass, silk, onix, sycomore and transforms a light into a ring, a furniture into a precious trunk for liquors, and a simple cushion into an upholstered foulard.
