Samuel Amoia's passion for interior design originated with his extensive international travel, which has allowed him to see and experience first-hand some of world’s most prestigious living environments. Amoia has worked for such industry leaders as Ian Schrager and Hotels AB (Andre Balazs). Most recently, Amoia worked closely with interior designer Stephen Sills, hailed as one of the most influential forces in the field today. Working alongside Sills in his rarefied world afforded Amoia unparalleled creative and business training. Amoia aided Sills in the execution of some of the most important large-scale residential projects in recent years. Since then Amoia has cultivated relationships with the industry’s most talented vendors, suppliers, and artisans, all of whom support Amoia in his creative endeavors. Amoia has recently been featured in Architectural Digest, Vogue, Forbes, Elle Décor, World of Interiors, T Magazine, Wall Street Journal, Cultured Magazine, Financial Times, Interview Magazine, and NY Magazine.
Amoia provides a collaborative working dynamic with each residential and commercial client from pre-development construction management through comprehensive interior design services and branding. Amoia is designing the iconic Indochine restaurant in Miami Beach, the new Delorenzo gallery space on Madison Avenue, the exclusive Itz'ana Hotel and Residences in Belize, and several other high end residential and commercial projects. The firm and showroom are located in the gallery district of West Chelsea.
After the groundbreaking success of Amoia’s former company (AMMA Studio), he has branched off with his youngest brother Dominic (former sculptor of AMMA) to launch AMOIA Studio in the fall of 2015, which features collaborative line of sculptural furniture and lighting made of natural materials. AMOIA Studio will be designing exclusive and limited edition pieces for Delorenzo Gallery in NY, Dover Street Market NY, Jean de Merry (Dallas, LA, Chicago, NY), Soho House Berlin, and The Store by Alex Eagle in London.
