sa_partners is an international urban design, planning and architecture agency led by Thomas Kovári and Dunja Kovári-Binggeli, based in Zurich, Switzerland. Masterplanning is at the core of our practice — from new cities and coastal developments to heritage contexts, resorts, and post-conflict reconstruction.
Working across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia and the South Caucasus, sa_partners shapes places at every scale, guided by a lasting commitment to sustainability, inclusion, and people-centred design. Our projects include new city masterplans in Azerbaijan, mountain resorts in Georgia, and coastal and eco-tourism development along the Caspian and in Qatar.
Research is part of how we work. Spacelab, our think tank founded in 2019, explores the transformation of climate, space and society — in collaboration with leading institutions and within national research programmes.
