Founded in 1954, SPD is the first Italian postgraduate school, conceived as a bridge to the creative professions. The education is focussed on advanced training programmes and University Master courses offered from five different departments: Industrial, Interior, Transportation, Graphic and Digital design. The teaching approach promotes the active participation of primary institutions and businesses as didactic partners. For almost 60 years SPD has been playing a central role in spreading the culture of design all over the world. Its activity has been recognized at international level with the Compasso d’Oro award.
