"I've been drawing as long as I remember myself. Drawing was one of my favorite disciplines at MArchI. From 2007, I started going regularly on architectural plein air studies and experimenting with different graphic techniques. In 2005, I discovered watercolour. On the one side, this technique is rich in expressive nuances and, on the other, speed and improvisation are important, which suits my temperament and creative vision.
Due to my professional interests I focus on drawing architecture and urban spaces. I am not after documenting reality in detail but rather try to express my impressions and feelings, preferably in a free impressionistic manner.
When I travel, I always have colours and a sketchbox easel with me, and I have drawn landmarks all over the world, from New York to Vladivostok. I draw a lot – about a hundred works annually. And I endlessly review them with a critical eye"
