Founded in 2017 by Andrea Fisk and Jess Thomas Hinshaw, this young, collaborative, woman-owned architecture firm has worked on projects across Brooklyn and Manhattan, ranging in scale from apartment face-lifts and furnishings up through complete gut renovations of historic townhomes. Their focus on thoughtful details and natural materials brings a sense of timelessness to each of their projects, and they have been commended for their sensitivity to the urban and historic contexts in which they work.
Before founding Shapeless, Jess and Andrea worked together at a high-end design/build firm, developing a deep understanding of New York’s townhouse & apartment typologies and construction processes.
