Founded in Aspen in 1991, Studio B is an award-winning architecture and interiors practice dedicated to creating thoughtful modern design rooted in place. With studios in Aspen and Boulder, our work spans custom residences, hospitality, and select commercial projects throughout Colorado and beyond.
We believe every project begins by understanding the people who will inhabit it. Rather than imposing a signature style, we uncover the unique relationship between our clients, their site, and the surrounding landscape. The result is architecture that feels singular, deeply personal, and inseparable from its setting.
Our integrated approach to architecture and interior design allows every detail to work in harmony, from the earliest conceptual sketches through furnishings, materials, lighting, and custom millwork. By considering the experience of a home as a complete composition, we create environments that are both highly functional and emotionally resonant.
Studio B's work is characterized by clean forms, refined material palettes, and a careful response to climate, topography, light, and views. Whether nestled within the mountains of Aspen, overlooking the Front Range, or situated in a remote landscape, each project is designed to belong to its place while supporting the rhythms of everyday life.
Sustainability is an integral part of our design process. We regularly incorporate passive design strategies, high-performance building envelopes, renewable energy systems, and durable materials that allow our projects to endure for generations.
Over more than three decades, Studio B has received national recognition through publications including Architectural Digest, ArchDaily, Dezeen, The Local Project, Modern in Denver, and Private Aspen: Modernism in the Mountains, along with more than 75 regional and national design awards.
At Studio B, architecture is more than the creation of buildings. It is the thoughtful design of places that inspire, endure, and enrich the lives of those who experience them.
