Award winning Interior Design firm, Studio M, was originally established in 1999 by Abboud Malak in Los Angeles under the name of Studio Ethos, Inc. Studio M has operated out of the DIFC as a high-end, multidisciplinary Interior Design practice. Abboud Malak’s established track record as one of the leading design professionals in his field speaks for itself and can be witnessed through the diverse portfolio primarily located in Los Angeles (USA) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates). The company’s skill base includes interior architecture, project management and project supervision.
In line with the DIFC’s commitment to provide International Standards to their clients, and building on the success and interest in the DIFC Headquarters’ level 14 of the Gate Building, Studio M specializes in similar turn-key solutions to commercial tenants. A one-stop approach, where the disruption and turmoil of opening a new office is fully managed by the Studio. THE SERVICES
Studio M is a Tier 1 Interior Design firm, operating in the high-end sector of the commercial and residential market. The studio specializes in the interior design and architecture, space planning and project management of medium-size projects. These can be corporate offices, retail outlets, hospitality and residential spaces. The Studio’s involvement starts at the inception of a project and with the designer maintaining direct involvement throughout the project’s duration.
Studio M offers a tailor made service that caters to the specific needs of the client. This can also include a “one-stop” service. The team will work closely together with the General Contractor and other consultants within the building environment in developing the overall design and construction of the property.
This comprehensive design package includes suggestions for landscaping, audio-visual equipment, home automation, specialist lighting, etc. This service can extend to organizing Staff relocation, flower décor and all other aspects of the Interior. Should clients choose to- they can move into a totally well organized and fully functional environment. Every attention is paid to detail ensuring that the client has complete trust and satisfaction during and after completion.

THE PORTFOLIO
Under the commercial name of Studio Ethos, in Los Angeles, the young Studio was awarded the AIA (American Institute of Architects) Merit Awards for interior design in 2002. This honor is awarded once a year for Interior Design Excellence for projects on the West Coast of the USA. This and other projects were published in several books on Interior Design and architecture in the USA.
Since then, Studio M has received multiple awards ranging from Best Residential, Best Corporate, Best Hospitality and Best Cultural Spaces. The pursuit of perfection is ongoing.
