However, at any early stage the versatility, robustness and consequent massive potential of fibreglass was recognised and gradual progression has seen the company become experts in a wide variety of fibreglass applications including Fibreglass Linings, Fibreglass Grating, Anti Slip Flooring Products and Spill Containment products. Throughout the UK Whilst our manufacturing roots remain in Essex, our lining technicians attend client sites throughout the UK to apply fibreglass linings to damaged or leaking structures such as storage tanks, concrete bunds and cooling towers. Despite its versatility, there are occasions when a GRP lining is not the ideal solution for refurbishment projects, if that is the case we can still assist as we are also ISO Quality accredited installers of industrial coatings. Surface preparation Additionally, if your substrate requires mechanical preparation prior to application of our fibreglass lining or coating, we are experts in surface preparation meaning that we can look after your project from start to finish. Spill containment solutions Much of the work we carry out on site is done in order to help our clients comply with environmental legislation and to complement this we also manufacture a wide range of spill containment solutions in our Colchester factory that can be despatched at short notice to any site within the UK. Anti-slip flooring & grating Another part of our gradual expansion included investment into our own grating manufacturing facility which now sees us produce the finest quality fibreglass grating at extremely competitive rates. The popularity of the grating and Anti Slip Flooring products that we produce is such that it has been necessary to invest in an additional factory to keep up with demand. Perhaps the biggest endorsement of our ability to undertake even the most challenging of projects is the fact that we were entrusted with refurbishing the historic iron works at St Pancras railway station. This four-year project commenced in 2003 and carried a value of eleven million pounds. The work involved ultra high pressure water jetting to remove old lead paint and the application of a modern high tech coating system.
