Our inter-disciplinary knowledge base covers highly efficient mechanical and electrical design, flexible and renewable energy supply, building science, and sustainable community planning. Our strength as a firm is rooted in the depth of our team’s project experience. Over the course of four decades we have been at the forefront of generations of sustainable design technologies and trends. This knowledge base gives us an EDGE over other firms and informs an integrated and holistic design process. We produce practical and financially responsible solutions that embed efficiency and economy within the design. Sustainable EDGE is headed by Senior Staff with 35 years of experience in sustainable energy and buildings. Under their direction, the firm has completed hundreds of sustainable projects with satisfied Clients. As a specialized firm, we offer direct and continuous contact with our Senior Staff throughout the project life ensuring high quality services and deliverables. Our staff is comprised of LEED accredited professionals, each with between 6 and 10 years working with LEED rating systems. We have consulted on numerous LEED projects many of which garnered Gold and Platinum Certifications. We have also successfully consulted on other sustainable ratings systems such as the Toronto Green Standard, Green Globes, and the Living Building Challenge. We are an award winning firm. We have been on the recipient teams of the UN Habitat Award, Boston Society of Architect’s Sustainable Design Award, Toronto Green Award, Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Excellence in Energy Award, BILD Community of the Year, Living City Award, Best of the Best from the Construction Association, and of course, LEED Gold and Platinum certifications.
