Our thermal modification process can be applied to all wood species following the parameters governed by the Thermowood Association. We have processed a variety of species but we pride ourselves on the expertise that has been developed over the years with hardwoods. Our sister company DJ Smearer Inc. is dedicated to providing you with some of the best quality specialty lumber at the best prices. Located in Belledune New Brunswick, Canada, they specialize in birdseye & curly maple logs and lumber in many different grades, music, architectural, flooring, carving grade etc. Dale Smearer personally oversees the selection of all of the logs ,the sawing and vacuum drying operations at his facility. He grades all the lumber himself from 4/4 - 8/4 thickness, Rough or dressed and will prepare custom parts as per customer specifications. See for yourself below.
