Unknown Works are a newly formed and ambitious studio working between the realms of architecture, design and art. They work internationally on a wide range of arts, cultural and residential projects. They have most recently completed ‘Brightbox’ - a prototype for an off-grid community hub, clinic and school in Bidi-Bidi Refugee Settlement in the North of Uganda, a series of music studios, and installations and pavilions both which examine the densification of cities including ‘Space Gap’ pavilion for LDF 18 recently longlisted for the Dezeen Awards and ‘Residual City’ inhabiting and programming forgotten spaces in HK which was recently exhibited at PMQ HK. They have a fascination for cities, the way they grow, and how architecture can form part of the conversation about global relationships between peoples and cultures.
Unknown Works was founded by Theo Games Petrohilos, Ben Hayes, Kaowen Ho. The directors bring their experience leading a range of high profile and award winning projects for Foster + Partners, Alsop Architects, Studio Egret West, Niall Mclaughlin Architects and Heatherwick Studio.
