Utopia & utility

The U&U Team Founded in 2012 by siblings Pia and Moritz Wüstenberg , we work together with our team and craftsmen to grow a business with integrity and good intentions, wishing to highlight the beauty of craft and the value in tacit skills. Pia Wüstenberg is a Product Designer with a background in materials and craft. She graduated from the Royal College of Arts in 2011 and has been running her own studio piadesign in East London since. Pia is the creative director and designer at Utopia & utility. Moritz Wüstenberg is a Biochemical Engineer specialized in environmental engineering and energy law. He has a passion for science and nature and combines this in his own organic distillery. Moritz is the MD at Utopia & utility, responsible for our finance, logistics and business affairs. The team also includes Bastian Jöhnk. Basti is responsible for the upkeep of our stock and warehouse. He is also our full time craftsmen and the maker of most of our Processed Paper products. Kaisu Wüstenberg, our mom, is our steady helping hand in packing and every day running of the business, including cooking lunch for the team. Since summer 2015, we have been joined by Lesia M. Zuk as an active board member. Lesia has a strong background in brand and product management as well as retail. She will help us in forming the future of Utopia & utility through her company Brandpassion in Copenhagen.
