Wogg was founded by the cousins Willi Glaeser and Otto Glaeser in 1983. It was their vision to create, develop, mass produce and distribute an independent furniture collection under a new brand name. They combined their initials to form what today has become the internationally reputed furniture brand Wogg. Initially, they launched their brand on the Swiss market with a range of 7 products. The "post forming technique", developed in 1972 at the cabinetmaker's workshop Glaeser AG, headed by Willi Glaeser, served in the initial phase as the basis for the product development.
Already in 1984, only one year after the founding of the company, the Wogg furniture concept received attention and was being sold on the international market. In the meanwhile, Wogg products are now available in the high-end furniture trade in more than 30 countries.
A variety of Wogg products have received design prizes and awards. Today, a large number of furniture pieces from the Wogg collection are already recognised as classic. The furniture collection is also characterised by outstanding versatility; most of the furniture pieces can be used both in the home and in the office as well as in public buildings.
