Planning a five-room apartment, a total of 130 square meters We were called to design an apartment in a typical Jerusalem building, around green cypress trees in a pleasant and quiet neighborhood in Jerusalem. Embark on a transformative journey that commences with the visionary purchase of a 1.6-acre plot. Here, the homeowner envisaged a sanctuary for cultivating cherished plant species and crafting a serene retreat for family camping. Taylored Architecture was asked to design a highly contemporary "steel and glass" house on a private island in the Thousand Islands. The design took shape from a structural grid of steel columns that support a steel roof framing system. The steel columns are expressed on the exterior of the building allowing all of the exterior walls to be non-load bearing. The building was created as an attempt to recycle materials that we had available from previous constructions and from family members who had stored them for decades - larch terrace boards, spruce facade boards, profiles for the construction of the foundations, windows and most of the insulation materials. We were also able to borrow shroud boards, light equipment, etc., so the building was largely self-built with the help of friends and family. The project pertains to the renovation of a small family house in Toulouse. In the residential outskirt of Treviso is located Turned House, a T-shaped residence with slightly rotated volumes. The idea of the project was to characterize the volumes through archetypal shapes with particular attention paid to the vertical connection. Caption The design reference is the Loosian logic of the Raumplan, recognizable not only in the slight misalignment of the volumes, but also in their effective formal cleanliness and in the centrifugal trend of the space.
