Located in a wooded valley on the outskirts of Philadelphia, Sycamore Glen is a single-family home nestled among mature trees, overlooking Wister Creek. Bordered closely by neighboring houses to the west, the narrow site informed a linear organization and a careful balance of privacy, light, and views. As the first building on Strandeiland, our substation plays a crucial role in the area’s sustainable development, setting an example for the ambitious growth of Amsterdam’s urban landscape. With 8,000 planned residences over the next twenty years, Strandeiland is one of the largest upcoming urban districts in Amsterdam. To provide energy to all the buildings in the area, a substation is required to convert higher voltage into lower voltage electricity that can be distributed to the various neighborhoods. GZC Dampoort is a large health center with two floors, where many healthcare providers come together under one roof. The one-and-a-half-line health center will house a general practice, psychologist, outpatient clinic, pharmacy, dermatologist and many others. Der Name Jeongdongjin leitet sich von der Lage des Dorfes ab, das direkt östlich von Gwanghwamun in Hanyang liegt und in dem sich früher eine Fähre befand. Diese beschauliche Küstengemeinde, die hauptsächlich aus ländlichen Bauern- und Fischerdörfern besteht, verfügt über kleine Küstenhäfen und Felder, die sich ins Landesinnere erstrecken. The house is located on the border that separates a suburban development of single-family houses and a protected forest area. The main strategy followed in the project is to let the house take advantage of this special location and make the most of its double condition by merging them both; the wild nature of the forest on the one hand and the built or suburban environment on the other. Designed by UTRO architecture studio, the space redefines the brand’s signature aesthetic by infusing vintage and retro elements, while keeping the hallmark design elements that Dizengof/99’s guests know and love. The intensity of megacity urbanity, where air pollution and environmental degradation are pre-conditions for design, presents a particular challenge for the creation of secure environments for education. In Balneário Piçarras – on the northern coast of Santa Catarina – just a few meters from the sea, the N9 Residential Building features a ground floor free of walls, elevated on pilotis, which houses the garages and vertical circulation, including stairs and an elevator. Each typical floor, consisting of just four floors, accommodates two apartments. A new Performance Arts Centre for Brighton College, with a fully equipped 400-seat theatre. The new building for the performance arts for Brighton College incorporates studios spaces, social spaces, classrooms and a multifunctional theatre hall on a very compact site on the monumental neogothic campus. The theatre hall is raised to open up the ground floor for social spaces. This creates a sculptural shape that is dressed in a mix of brick and flint, a reference to local building traditions.    Brighton College asked for a 3000-square meter building for their performance arts departments.
