Mstand Coffee Jinan Store

INTRODUCTION As the brand's first store in Jinan, client aims to create a space that integrates with the city. Jinan has a long history, with a mix of old and new cityscapes. The core of this project is to reflect this dialogue in the design. UKstudio UKstudio UKstudio SPACE STRATEGY We abstracted the city's walls and alleyways into geometric shapes, arranging them in a staggered manner in the air and on the ground. This forms a landmark above the bar with strong visibility from the street, providing wayfinding functions and enhancing the clarity of the interior flow. To enrich the layering, we set up semi-enclosed "house" volumes in the deeper parts of the store, providing private spaces and balancing the overall composit... Mehr

El Cafe

Concept Description: The design of this coffee shop is inspired by Brazilian midcentury modern style, known for its vibrant colors, organic shapes, and warm materials. This approach is particularly relevant to the climate of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Bold, contrasting interiors, highlighted by murals from Brazilian artist Rojerio Pedro, create an atmosphere of coziness and positivity, allowing visitors to feel transported to a warm southern corner in the midst of Sakhalin’s harsh winter. Wood accents, greenery, and soft textures add a natural touch, making the space an ideal retreat for both tourists and locals. patch cafe

This project exhibited a patchwork nature, consisting of various facets and sections that initially appeared chaotic in their intersections. However, this quality also held the potential to create positive outcomes. We identified this characteristic as the project's main strength, and the design team focused on establishing a foundation that would effectively manage these intersections, allowing for a harmonious and coherent expression within the project's context. Much like a patchwork rug, despite the diversity of forms and patterns, there was a perfect balance and harmony. Dastaas Cafe and Bakery

The name of this project refers to the traditional Iranian hand mill, known as "dastās," which consists of a movable round stone and a fixed stone. The movable stone is typically circular, with a hole in the center, and is equipped with a wooden handle on the side, allowing it to be manually operated for grinding wheat. Peyman Amirghiasvand In this project, our objective extended beyond merely creating a functional and operational space for a bakery cafe. Instead, we aimed to craft a unique spatial experience, drawing inspiration from rich cultural and historical elements. The design concept was based on traditional Iranian hand mills and the arched forms of traditional ovens, which served as the central design elements. Peyman Ami... Mehr

Saborella Cafe

With Brazilian roots but Italian wisdom, Saborella has been a reference since 1995 in the capital, serving high-quality artisanal ice creams. In 2014, the company approached the office to design its second store, now within a major shopping center in Brasília. Haruo Mikami Haruo Mikami Haruo Mikami The project was initially inspired by the model of European street cafes, which line the streets, providing contemplation of daily life while enjoying a cup of coffee.
