Small yet functional

Glow bar is located in a two-storey space with a vast street terrace in Preradovićeva Street, at the very heart of Zagreb.

Through interior architecture and design, the space and its qualities aim to resonate towards a younger, urban, open-minded public. The entire area has been refurbished and designed to clearly communicate the unique story of the Glow bar concept.

Apart from purchased chairs, all other elements have been designed and custom-made using carefully selected materials and textures. The main feature of the interior is simplicity and restraint in decoration. This allowed for the creation of a clearly defined space, whose colors and tactile features add to the feeling of modern sophistication, without the visual cluttering of the space. One of the key focal points of the space is a custom-made bar on the ground floor, which comes to life through a play of light and shadow.

The new layout has achieved high functionality in terms of movement and usage. The biggest challenge was creating a functional spatial layout in a relatively small bar and framing all demands and features defined in the creative and business concept.

Carefully selected materials have been used for the floors, walls, the bar, and other parts of the space. Flooring by Swedish manufacturer Bolon has been used in the entrance area and in the gallery. Interior walls have been treated with special plaster and sanded in order to achieve the desired texture and softness of indirect lighting.

The bar that dominates the ground-floor area was made of steel and bent copper-colored sheet metal with a Carrara marble counter top. The booths were upholstered in cognac-colored leather, which adds to the intimacy of the atmosphere. The lighting fixtures provide a subtle, subdued light to match the desired atmosphere of a high-end bar. The column cladding has been made of a special kind of metallic paneling, which adds to the air of modernity and minimalism.
