The new Marriott in the Haitian capital Port-auPrince shows the benefits of a close and productive collaboration between architect and material supplier. The responsible Irish architect Hugh Murray was looking for a material and design differentiating his project of other buildings and with Bruag found the ideal partner. With the idea of integrating the design of a typical carribean sea plant into the panels used for the screens and balcony claddings he got in contact with us. Based on a picture sent to us the final perforation pattern was designed and now serves as identification mark of the building. The panels produced by Bruag did not only convince regarding their design flexibility but also passed the required examination of their hurricane resistance.
