MA PROJECT was tasked with a multi-functional space design for headquarters of the law firm Pepeliaev Group, located in Moscow, Russia.
Pepeliaev Group is a leading Russian law firm that offers a full range of legal services in all regions of Russia, CIS countries and abroad. More than 160 lawyers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Vladivostok, Beijing and Shanghai provide legal support to more than 1,500 companies engaged in various sectors of the economy; 50% of them are international corporations carrying out long-term investment projects in Russia.
The main goals of the project were to design an office that meets all the internal needs of a large, growing company; to create an open, comfortable, and welcoming working environment; and to provide an attractive multifunctional client space suitable for different types of work scenarios (negotiations, conferences, seminars, etc.).
The office is in a five-story building with a century-old history in the center of Moscow. The total area of the premises is 4287 square meters. The first floor is designated for clients. It includes a reception area, meeting rooms, and a multifunctional conference room. The next two floors are an office area of mixed-use design (private offices and open space). The fourth floor is for offices of the managing partner. Mobile partitions make it possible to transform meeting rooms in the client area into an area for seminars.
The main components in the interior design are natural materials with a pronounced texture — slate stone and textured veneered panels. The client-space design creates an informal light environment enhanced by antique items — old cash machines. The new rich-in-textures interior environment contrasts with the open structural elements of the building — the capitals of the columns, open beams floor slabs — and external elements of the engineering systems. Landscaping is used to create a comfortable environment in the office space.
A special attention was paid to sound insulation of the office premises. Sound-absorbing materials were used in decorating the meeting rooms: carpet tiles with felt substrate, suspended ceiling panels with sound-absorbing perforation, textured wall panels.
