SKY FOREST SCAPE: a new type of public space on the roof of Bangkok

“SKY FOREST SCAPE” is a new type of public space on the roof of Bangkok. It is a part of the new mixed-use development called “SIAMSCAPE'' which is located at the heart of ‘Siam Square’ - a vibrant young-gen commercial district. This project is a part of the bigger master plan that aims to revamp ‘Siam Square’ with more people-centric urban spaces including walking streets, gathering places, and greenery. SKY FOREST SCAPE is a new solution to connect the city vertically with public space and greenery in the sky. While walking street on ground attracts big cheerful events.

On the 10th floor “SKY FOREST SCAPE” It is designed to become biodiversity mini forest with more than 10 types of perennials and 23 types of shrubs as part of creating shade on the roof, with most of the perennials that suitable for Thailand’s tropical climate. Moreover, the space can reduce temperatures up to 6°C, absorbing Carbon dioxide, purifying dust and pollution in the air. Decreasing temperature and creating a sustainable greenery atmospheric.

SKY FOREST SCAPE offers a secluded respite amongst biodiverse vegetation with open view to the surrounding city skyline. Moreover, the space is also designed to support flexibility, accommodate a variety of activities, create an interactive and imaginative environment for every age as well as become a new landmark for the city.
