This Turns The Office Into A Creative Workshop For Games Developers
CSMM architects create a new world of work for international games developers Ubisoft in the Berlin Start-up Tower. Office design for IT has to fulfil particular requirements.
Whilst as many as 15,000 experts and gamers talk shop and discuss trends in the computer gaming industry at the gamesweekberlin from 23rd April to 29th April 2018, a new birthplace for future computer games is springing up in Berlin-Charlottenburg. The international games developer Ubisoft is moving into new offices in the Start-up Tower right away. Whether it’s about reliable IT infrastructure or the international nature of the team: as the office landscape of a software designer brings with it special requirements, the company has focused on a truly special office concept: “Recruiting the right people is heavily influenced by choosing the right building, so IT companies do have to prove how attractive they are in comparison with other businesses in the New Economy. We had to create not just an attractive office environment, but also a functional one”, says Sven Bietau, managing partner of CSMM. CSMM’s consultants and architects came up with the concept, and designed and built the offices in Hardenbergstraße Charlottenburg.
The seating landscape in the Meeting Point is the architectural solution for the two passage doors, which are located at different levels. The architects tried to create a harmonious image from the front by letting everything appear the same through the visible edge.
